It hurts me to see these old pictures of giant trees cut down. The ant sized people posing with a huge used saw in their bloody hands. We lost something great murdering these wooden giants from the woods.
There where no Ents who could save them. This is something we would have to do as people of planet earth. And there are people doing their best to save the ones remaining.
We cut most of the giant trees. We cut their communities. We cut their connection. We cut their wisdom.
We cut their healing. I am cut and hurt and I feel guilty. Never lived on a tree to save them, my furniture was trees before, it was cut down and processed to be a cupboard in the room I live. I live with dead bodies of trees.
And I am lost in a metaphor: “You can only save what you know.” I wanna know, how trees live, speak and breathe. I wanna know how they move and where they end and where they begin. Crown shyness is a beautiful yet smart phenomenon. I wanna know more about it. I wanna sleep under their roots and crowns, speak to the entangled web of Mycorrhiza, with it’s eons of knowledge and experiences and connections.
The Crown of a tree sees the movement of the stars. My salty tears for the Napalm wars we lay upon them. When there is plenty of gold, lithium and ice on most of the rocks floating around in space.
Wood is such a scarce resource in the universe. Planet earth is the only planet where it exists.
We dig in the soil for oil, which was nothing less than an trees, living millions of years ago. Turning them into toxic plastics, this some kind of natural blasphemy. A diamond is the pressured, spherical essence of a thousand of trees.
We have cut most of their mothers down. Now the children have to be safe. So that they can grow and dance in the winds longer that we all crave love. Let them grow into mothers again. The only visible goddesses on planet earth besides of this our planet. This is how we all shall protect the trees.
Listen to the indigenous people, calling for justice in their territories. They know how nature is important for us all, and that we will be soil again, after we die. Feeding our nature. We will be trees again. Growing towards the skies. Being the pillars holding the balance again.
So don’t ever let other people stay out starving in the freezing cold. Or they will go to the woods to set a fire. This is the duty of all the people alive on this our mother earth. To be kind to our kin, so that the trees can grow to be giants again.
